SUBMITTING AWARDS TO THE MASTERPOINT CENTRE

You have three choices of how to submit your awards to the Masterpoint Centre:

1. Manually, by Hand-Written Forms and "Snail-Mail" (or Fax)

If you wish to use this method, you must tell the Masterpoint Centre. We will then supply the necessary CPAR (Club Player Awards Register) and Sundry Awards forms. These forms are sent to you at the beginning of each quarter and must be completed and returned before the advertised deadline. Clear instructions of how to use the forms, are printed on the back of the cover page. The CPAR forms come pre-printed with the names and ABF numbers of your home and alt members (see the PLAYER DETAILS help form), whereas the Sundry Awards forms, which are blank, are to be used for anyone who are not listed on the CPAR forms. We regret that we are unable to accept the awards on any forms other than the official forms supplied by us.

2. Files on a Floppy Disk via "Snail-Mail"

If you are using one of the professionally available scoring programs, masterpoint files will be created for you, in the required format, by the program. These files may be placed on a floppy disk (1.44mb) and forwarded by "snail-mail" to the Masterpoint Centre.

Alternatively, you may create these files manually by using either our free NAT4WIN or NAT4DOS programs, or by using a standard program such as Windows' NOTEPAD. However, if you use the latter option, bear in mind that you will have to create your file in our special MASTERPOINT FILE FORMAT (see the FORMAT AND NAMING OF MASTERPOINT FILES help form).

Once you have created your file, you should check the total by using NAT4WIN (or NAT4DOS), fill in the Electronic Data Summary Sheet (supplied by the Centre) and forward it together with your disk.

3. Files via Email.

If you have access to email, you can use either of the methods described in 2. above to generate the files. Then, instead of placing the files on a floppy disk and submitting them by "snail-mail", you can attach them to your email. You need not fill in any forms if you use this method, but again, you should use NAT4WIN or NAT4DOS to check the files and include the totals in your email.

4. Create and Submit directly from our Web Site (NEW!)

This is an electronic version of the CPAR and Sundry Awards forms. Simply click on the CPAR form or the Sundry Awards form on the main page of our web site and follow instructions. If you don't have a professional scoring program, this is by far the easiest way to enter and submit your awards. No email required. Just click on the Submit button and the file is sent to us directly in the accepted masterpoint format, with a copy to the email address you have specified..

NOTE: Masterpoints files must not contain any heading or notes, only the digits as described in FORMAT AND NAMING OF MASTERPOINT FILES.
