APPENDIX E: SUBMITTING AWARDS TO MASTERPOINT CENTRE
You have four different ways to submit your awards to the Masterpoint Centre:
If you wish to use this method, you must tell the Masterpoint Centre, and the necessary CPAR (Club Player Awards Register) and Sundry Awards forms will be forwarded to you. These forms are issued at the beginning of each quarter and should be completed and returned before the advertised deadline. Instructions are printed on the back of the cover page. The CPAR forms come pre-printed with the names and ABF numbers of your home and alt members (see the PLAYER DETAILS help form). The Sundry Awards forms, which don't have any player details pre-printed, are to be used for those players whose names don't appear on the CPAR schedule. Awards submitted on any other forms cannot be accepted.
If you are using
one of the commercially available scoring programs then masterpoint files, in
the required format, will be created for you. These files may be placed on a floppy
disk (1.44mb) and posted to the Masterpoint Centre.
Alternatively, you may
create these files manually by using either the NAT4WIN or NAT4DOS programs, or
by using a standard program such as Windows' NOTEPAD. However, if you use the
latter option, bear in mind that you will have to create your file in the required
format (see Appendix D).
NOTE: Masterpoints files must not contain any heading
or notes.
Once the file has been created you should check the total and contents by using NAT4WIN (or NAT4DOS), then complete the Electronic Data Summary Sheet and forward it together with your disk to the Masterpoint Centre.
If you have access to emai, you can use either of the methods described in 2.above to generate the credit files. Then, instead of placing the files on a floppy disk and posting it to the Centre, you can instead attach them to an email. You need not fill in any forms if you use this method, but again, you should use NAT4WIN or NAT4DOS to check the files, while the total credits in each file should be stated.
Go to the MP Centre web site www.masterpoints.org.au, select "Enter Club Awards (CPAR)" or "Enter Sundry Awards" and follow instructions. The screen display should be the same as the corresponding manual form issued to your club at the start of the quarter (see 1. above) and can be completed in the same manner.
Once the player awards have been entered
you should complete the Name and Email boxes, then click the Submit button. The
details will then be sent directly to the Masterpoint Centre, while a copy will
be sent to the email address that you have provided.
